Who are you?

Many of us ask ourselves the question: WHO AM I? What am I doing here? What is my purpose?  Do you ever ask yourself any of these questions? If so, do you find answers? These are some of the most important questions you will ever ask yourself. Finding these answers will provide you with confidence that you are on the right path and in tune with your higher self. The answers will provide guidance through your journey and allow you to consciously focus on achieving your ultimate goals and dreams, instead of wasting your precious energy on things that really aren’t important in the greater scheme of things… Finding your passion will lead to finding your purpose.

We question ourselves, the world around us and even our place in the universe, yet some of us choose to question nothing at all. Which person are you? The one who is curious and courageous enough to follow their hearts and know there is something bigger out there for all of us? Or are you the person who questions nothing at all? Never taking chances, never thinking for themselves, always staying “safe”? Never knowing what they are capable of, or how strong they are on the inside, never knowing who they REALLY are? Which approach to life is more beneficial, productive, rewarding and creative? While asking questions leads to answers, ignorance leads us nowhere. To ask ourselves the question WHO AM I? can only lead to answers, peace within ourselves and with the world around us.

I speak from experience when talking about self discovery. Believe me, I have walked this journey. The truth is, I’ll likely walk this journey until I depart from this world. Life is a journey of self discovery. One evening a very special friend of mine asked me the very questions I am asking you and at the time I did not have an answer, in fact, I had no clue. I thought I had everything figured out and had been living up to my full potential. But was I wrong. This is exactly the moment that put me on the path of self discovery and what made me who I am today. I realized that to stop dreaming and wanting my deepest desires, was to stop living. I was just merely existing – just surviving on a daily basis. Depression, mood swings, frustration, resentment, doubts and anger was always trying to creep into my mind on a daily basis.

So I started asking myself these questions – I started to spend time with myself, getting to know WHO I AM and what my passions are. This journey helped me really get to know myself and how much I really liked myself. I discovered what I want, what I like and what I don’t like. I started to accept myself for WHO I AM. I stopped looking outside of myself for happiness and went inside to find it within. I really liked what I found. I work on myself everyday and enjoy myself every step of the way!

I opened my heart and my mind. I changed my thoughts and my belief systems to better my own life and those around me. I now see the good in everyone and everything. I try my best every day to be positive and bring more joy into the world. I don’t use the word stress in my life anymore and now believe everything that happens in my life is a lesson – a message to help better my life. So now I proudly walk my journey, knowing myself a little better and knowing what I want and what my purpose is. It’s an amazing walk of self discovery and I love every step I take forward.

This journey of self discovery has changed the way I see others, the world and myself. This walk has changed my life so much and has brought me so much peace and joy. I only hope you get to take this journey of self discovery and get to know yourself for who you really are. You deserve to be happy and to know who you really are. Come on, take my hand and let’s start your journey inward. It’s worth every step, every breath, every inch of effort you put into it. You have nothing to lose but everything to gain!
