Who Are You? What Do You Want? And Why?
Discovering who you truly are is one of the most powerful journeys you can take. It requires stillness, honesty, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. In this first part of our Self-Discovery series, we explore three core questions that shape the direction of your life: Who are you? What do you want? And why?

Who Are You—Really?
We often define ourselves by our roles: parent, partner, employee, friend. We list our job titles, ages, hobbies, and family members as if they express our identity. But these are only the outer layers.
Who you are goes much deeper. Your true identity reveals itself in moments—your resilience in adversity, your joy in simplicity, your compassion, your strength, your curiosity, your energy. Discovering who you are begins with reflection. For many people, this means journaling, reading, meditating, or spending intentional time alone.
Through my own journey, I learned that I am more than a name or a role. I am a formless, powerful, infinite being filled with love and light. And once I understood that, I saw my potential in an entirely new way.
What Do You Truly Want?
Many people live by obligation rather than desire. They do what they feel they should do instead of what their soul is asking for. Over time, this creates a sense of complacency and numbness. But the moment you stop wanting is the moment you stop fully living.
When I asked myself what I truly wanted, I discovered that my purpose was to help people find clarity and happiness. That realization led me to life coaching and transformed the course of my life. Your “want” is not just a desire—it’s a compass. When you follow it, the stuckness begins to fade and your purpose begins to shine.
Why Do You Want It?
Understanding your “why” is what strengthens your motivation and deepens your purpose. But many of us ask “why” only when we’re frustrated. Instead, remove everyone else’s expectations for a moment—family, job, friends, obligations—and ask: Why do I want this for me?
Your “why” should uplift you. It should bring peace, alignment, and higher vibration into your life. Choosing what you want based on your own needs is not selfish—it’s essential. When you honor your “why,” you create boundaries, clarity, and direction. You begin to live as your authentic self, not a version shaped by others.
Your Journey Begins Here
Asking these three questions changed my life. They helped me grow kinder to myself and guided me toward hope, faith, and eventually, victory. They made me my own best friend.
Now it’s your turn. Start with just a few quiet moments each day. Ask yourself: Who am I? What do I want? Why do I want it? Watch how your life begins to shift.
A Final Thought
I leave you with this powerful reminder from Paulo Coelho: “Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t who you were meant to be in the first place.” Your self-discovery has already begun. Keep going.
